Yerushalaim our home

Artist: Mordechai Ben David

Album: L'kovod Yom Tov

In a village near our home,

Works a carpenter alone.

He's been carving wood for years,

Shtenders shelves and chairs.

Daily buyers come and go,

But there is one thing they don't know,

His thoughts so far away,

While waiting for a special day.

(Yes,) There is a dream a vision deep within his heart,

That he'll rebuild the Bais Hamikdosh part by part.

Doing Mizvos adding precious stones,

Our dream our palace, Yerushalaim our home. (x 2)

In a crumbling little home,

Lives a a fiddler all alone,

His inheritance so dear,

Foe many ancient years.

It's this instrument he holds,

His great-grandfather he's told,

Would hurry up each day,

To the courtyard of Hashem to play.

(Yes,) There is a dream a vision deep within his heart,

That he'll rebuild the Bais Hamikdosh part by part.

Doing Mizvos adding precious stones,

Our dream our palace, Yerushalaim our home. (x 2)

On a mountain on a stone,

Sits Moshiach all alone,

Suffering for years,

For all the sins he hears.

While so painfully he cries,

Prayers piercing through the skies,

He's pleading to Hashem,

To take us all back home again.

(Yes,) There is a dream a vision deep within his heart,

That we'll rebuild the Bais Hamikdosh part by part.

Doing Mizvos adding precious stones,

Our dream our palace, Yerushalaim our home. (x 2)

Ani ma'amin (x 2)
